My pendants with stones are one of my favorite things to create. I put my heart and soul into these beauties! In many cases the designs are inspired by the stone... either the type of stone, the color or the shape. I feel as though "I download from Spirit" the design of each piece, then it is up to me to create it with the utmost craftsmanship that I can. All of the designs on the back have been sawed out with a handheld jeweler's saw, as well as the pendant itself. After I solder the bezel in place (also made by hand), I have that area within the bezel to saw out designs. I first drill a hole, slip the saw blade through the tiny hole and then reattach the blade to the jeweler's saw frame. Each design starts out as a separately drilled hole. I have always admired hidden meaning in art and that is what initially inspired me to saw out designs on the back... although the pendants can be worn either way. I just love sawing, it is meditative for me. An album showing examples of these steps is shown at the bottom of this page.
 
Most of the pendants have hidden engraving under the stones as well. The last photo of each album shows this engraving. To me, it's like a "prayer within the piece." You can't see the engraving anymore, but you know it is there! (A picture of the engraving comes with the pendants.) The engraving is also done by hand with an electric engraver. These pendants are made out of fine silver with sterling silver jumprings. I have an array of sterling silver chains that I sell separately at wholesale prices for these pendants, shown at the bottom of this page. The broken arrow is the Native American symbol for "peace" and I sign it on my work whenever possible.
